As my mother was an artist I learned with her how to paint, and that's what I' ve been doing since then... I' m Portuguese/German and I was born in Vieira de Leiria, Portugal, by the end of the year of 1956. I studied Law and Philosophy at Lisbon' s University, but my desire for art was stronger...
Artist statement
The way I paint is born out of my relationship with society and that’s the reason why my paintings are full of different references united as a whole permitting a multitude of readings, sometimes antagonistic, sometimes even contradictory so I aim to express that nothing there is we truthfully know, and that, with our past (and because of it), we must continue to seek with optimism, compromising only sufficiently so to always experience freely, back and forth, the key to the future.
