Matter, structure, contrast, atmosphere, flesh, skin, bones, muscles, body, death, life, suffering, emotions, psyche, fears, media (consumer) society, stereotypes, the madness of the world. And this in an exaggerated manner alienating or merged into one.

Stephan Vos works with oil paint. By using pallet knives, he produces a thick fleshy coat, making the painting a tangible appearance, a strong contrast and often hard looking. In addition he experiments with sculptural works.
