My work deals with the temporality of structure and form, and emphasizes the ephemeral qualities of things familiar to us. I draw inspiration from the natural environment around us, focusing on the moods and associations resulting from my personal experiences in nature. Through the layering, erasing, and obscuring of marks and images, my work plays with the viewer's perception of what is solid and clear and what is fleeting and hidden.
