My mother and daughter are both artists and when I retired I joined them!!

Until 2019 I was a secondary school headteacher with a degree in Geography.
In 2021 I replied to an advert asking if there were any aspiring artists who had never received an art education to sign up for a 6 week course with Coventry's artist John Yeadon . He challenged us to complete 100 drawings of the same object. .I loved it and then signed up to my daughter's art course and I have experimented in a variety of media ever since .

I exhibited a painting called the The Darkling Redwing at the Coventry Festival of Hope in 2021
I recently(Dec 2023) had work exhibited for the first time at the Leamington Studio Artists gallery and shop . This sold and and I currently have another painting accepted for an exhibition at East Lodge in Jephson Gardens Leamington. (Jan-Feb 2024)
