Manchester 1951, I have been painting professionally for 34 years, I have taught part time throughout this time. this is a reciprocal learning process. I am fascinated by the changes in nature, in others and myself and trying to visually express change and movement, life. I love painting because it is fluid and responds to change and complexity.This strangeness is myself. Basically creation is hard to get ones head around. Its fun.Ps Self Portrait, 1979! I have come through a lot of changes with my art and at the moment I can't see the wood for the trees , but I am working on it.My work currently is about my life in Cornwall and the snatches of deep awareness and peace which can be experienced in the concentration of painting.\my work is impasto, textured , sometimes smooth .it is about the unique colour combination presented by time and place and feelings.
