Maria Konstanse Bruun

Through exploring the relationship between our inner world and the physical body Maria's work represent a visual discourse on the contemporary female condition. With particular interest in the domestic sphere she allows the absurd to collide with the mundane and pairs humor with poignancy to investigate notions of self, identity and our emotional backyard. The uncertain nature of the boundaries between mind and body, individual and social and private and public, past and present comes alive in Maria's work.
