Shalini Sankey

Born in 1968 in Kenya East Africa, Lived my life into homes Kenya and Sweden I would say that I am a born adventurer and in my path, my camera is always by my side...for new and exciting moments in life... I started working with Photography some years ago in Kenya, shooting with an old Minolta I got some fantastic black and white shots that got me hooked for life on photography. I have now started expanding my work in to studio shots and commercial photography and feel excited about the opportunity for self-creativity when it comes to layout and composure of models, this is a different kind of work that brings out one's ability to draw out the inner picture of your subject, as they say, a photo tells a thousand words... I am constantly learning! br>

Photography is something that I have done since I was 12, so I would say that I am self-tough t, My digital darkroom work is Photoshop and Lightroom, this is also something that I have learned through experience. Photography I feel needs to be more individualized and I have always felt that schools on the subject just create clones of photographers and takes away the individuals expression of there own insight. ,
