Thierry Vobmann is a professional French artist who lives in Brittany, the most westerly place on the European continent. In his studio, he creates paintings on canvas and sculptures in wood and metal.
For more than ten years, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to abstract painting because he has set himself the goal of expressing everything that does not have a physical appearance such as sounds, smells, warmth, feelings, the wind ... He realized that finally most of the factors that govern our lives and our behavior were not visible but noticeable.
Thierry's approach logically was to remove the image of the real to keep only the essential: the pure and universal emotion.
During his first year of work in abstract expressionism as this style is commonly called, Thierry has developed his own style which is abstract but in which he slides as often as possible reminiscences of figurative techniques such as perspectives, shadows, lights. He constantly seeks the balance of volumes, textures, colors, movements in order not to disturb the expression of the feeling.
His works are not smoothed. They are sometimes violent, colorful, and spicy, but always in order to accentuate the desired expressiveness.
