All of the works come from the theme of Alptanz. Here, human relationships and situations are dealt with, clothed in the dance motif, i.e. in a partner motif. An affinity with Francis Bacon is noticeable right down to the concept of space. Lehmann's pictures are impressive in terms of space, as he is able to activate the spatial concept for himself. In these spaces, usually stretched into a tower or ring-like latticework, he places his actions, which, when viewed in context, have a musical structure with introduction, furioso and largo. A lot of emotionality is conveyed in the disciplined works. This is particularly evident in the excellent, extremely economical and spatially resolved sheets by Wolfgang KE Lehmann. Dr. Peter Guth
