Anna Lipowicz

Painting for me is like breathing. If others can perceive the atmosphere and feel the spirit in my paintings,
I have achieved my purpose.
"For me, landscape is an inspiration and contemplation of beauty and life. I try to capture and feel its every impulse and every emotion. I reject analyzing, I aim to feel free, happy and very alive and this is what I want to transfer to my paintings. It's a liberation from the urban grayness that surrounds us."

Anna Constance Lipowicz was born in Poland, where she studied painting at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the studio of professor Nowosielski. She moved to Canada in 1980 and studied graphic design at the Ontario College of Art. Anna lives in Toronto and divides her time between painting and teaching painting at her studio-gallery. Her works are in private collections in Canada, U.S., France, Germany, U.K., Switzerland and Poland.
