Alexey Linkov is Ukrainian-born Canadian artist. His Neoclassical style is influenced mostly by the Impressionist and Orientalist movements as well as Psychedelic, Fantasy and Pop art. Alexey combines these styles in his art, creating colorful and surreal scenes of nature, animals, and humans. He often depicts tropical and beach scenes, as well as mythological and historical subjects. He shows a fascination with the beauty and diversity of nature, as well as the mystery and allure of legends and stories. He has a distinctive and colorful style, and shows great technical skills and creativity in his paintings. He also adds his own personal touch and interpretation, to create a unique and original style.

Alexey was born in Kyiv, Ukraine during Soviet Era. He dreamed of painting freedom. But the Academy rejected him, saying his art was too subversive, too Western, too dangerous. He didn't give up. He studied on his own, learning from books, museums, and underground artists. He painted in secret, hiding his works from the prying eyes of the regime. He was a rebel, a visionary, a self-taught master.
