Dan Xu

My name is Dan Xu, I immigrated to Canada in January of 2001 and have lived in Saint John since then. I work in the traditional Chinese painting style of using ink and wash applied with a wool brush to Chinese xuan paper. My career spans over 20 years since graduating from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in China in 1992

1988 – 1992
Studied in Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, located in Jingdezhen, China, and obtained a BA degree in Ceramic Art Design            
1996 – 1998
Engaged in life painting and creation of landscape under the tutoring of Prof. Zhao Zhen-chuan for the painting style of Change-An painting
  2000 – 2001
Studied at the China Art Institute
