Guen Sublette

Guen has lived and worked around the country, all the while keeping a keen eye out for the unexpected beauty of her surroundings—from quiet twists of stream to overlooked alleyways. With her most recent move to Central California, she's cultivated a burgeoning passion for painterly abstraction and exploring the interrelations between shape, movement and space.

Completed various workshops and master classes at the Art Students League in Denver as well as in New York: Oil painting, realism, watercolor, abstraction, encaustic, plein air.

Most of my paintings have 1.5-inch wraparound gallery painted edges, making them ready to hang without a frame.
