Michal Strugalski

Statement: Only what is brave and daring can have real value for me. All importants things in art issue from the unconsciuous, but without observation of the outside world nothing can be done. Some artists say that they can create solely from their own "interior", but I can not believe this. An artist finds inspiration in the surrounding natural world amongst human desires.

Michal Strugalski was born on the 26th May 1980 at Poznan, Poland.

In 1997, after attending schools he entered a Design Cours at the Piter Potworowski Public College of fine arts.

On 19th June 2001 he gained a Diploma in Studio Design and Sculpture there-both with distinction.

Later that year, in September 2001, he completed examinations to enter The academy of fine arts, Poznan for a course in Print making-later to finish almost 10 years of academic study in art at the age of 26.

Activities and exhibitions:


• 1999 : Participated for 2 years in Vayang Proyects at the “Castle center” film studio in Poznan (happening, performance art).

• 2004 : Exhibition at Warsaw National Museum , “Young staff printmaking from Poland” (invited for outstanding achievement in graphics).

• 2005 : Participant in exhibition “Paintings, graphics and sculptures” at the Technical Museum Warsaw.

• 2005 : One man exhibition at “Ow & Art” gallery in Poznan.

• 2005 : Graphics exhibition, Kunsthalle Steinfurt, Germany.

• 2005 : Graphics exhibitions in Bentlage, Rhine, Germany.

• 2005 : Participant (with other artists from Europe and USA) in exhibition “Impact contact” in Berlin and Poznan.

• 2005 : Awarded scholarship (for outstanding achievement) at Letterpress Kunstler-Druckereauf Dem Alter Hof Herding in Coesfeld, Germany.

• 2005 : One man print exhibition in Letter Stiftung, Coesfeld,Germany.

• 2006 : Print exhibition in Aki academy, Enschede,Holland.

• 2006 : Exhibition Gallery Broekhvis (Marktstraat 12), Enschede,Holland.
