Harry Noza (born in 1981) is a painter from Almonte, Andalucía, Spain, now living in Lisbon. His path into art has been guided by a lifelong curiosity and a deep passion for creativity. He studied Philosophy at Birkbeck, University of London, and Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins in London—an education that continues to shape his thoughtful and layered approach to painting.
For Harry, painting is not just a profession but a vocation. What began as a childhood love of drawing became a full-time practice after a transformative encounter with a Dana Schutz exhibition in 2014. Since then, he has dedicated himself to exploring pigments and fabrics, pushing the limits of figurative painting through experimentation, imagination, and emotional honesty.
His work is inspired by both personal experience and fantasy, creating a vibrant tension between reality and imagination. Color is central to his practice, serving as a direct channel for emotion and energy. Humor, irony, and playfulness often surface in his paintings, inviting viewers to look beyond their expectations and engage with the unexpected.
