Vanessa's artistic journey began in multicultural London, where galleries, museums, and diverse cultural influences shaped her visual language from an early age. Her passion for oil painting emerged as a teenager, capturing the delicate blossoms in her family's garden, while her musical training in piano and clarinet infused her work with rhythm and harmony.

After completing her A-levels in art, Vanessa traveled extensively from Asia to the Caribbean, absorbing new perspectives on colour and form. However, it was North Cornwall's dramatic coastline that truly captured her heart. The region's ever-changing light and tranquil landscapes became the perfect backdrop for her artistic evolution.

In Cornwall, Vanessa honed her craft alongside local artists, developing her signature style through daily coastal walks and intensive workshops. Her work combines vibrant colors, intricate textures, and subtle musical qualities that invite contemplation and wonder.
