Lorenzo Tartari

I was born in Ferrara (Italy) in 1957 and I studied at the Nicolò Copernico Technical Institute in Ferrara. In 1983 I designed a vase with sunflowers for the Fratelli Toso glassworks in Murano, they were enthusiastic about it and from that moment my career began on the glass island of Murano. After a few years I became master glassmaker. I like to continuously experiment with new techniques, I use the metal melted in the glass to obtain particular reflections and effects. Even today, after so many years, I still have a great desire for experimentation
