Chris O'Neill is a self-taught artist who specializes in gilding real animal skulls. Based in Boulder County Colorado, Chris' work is inspired by the natural world and the rich history of the American West. Chris creates gilded animal skulls, each one unique and inspired by the spirit of the creature itself.

Chris’ skulls are not simply decorative objects. They are also a way for him to connect with the natural world and to honor the animals that have given their lives. He believes that each skull tells a story, and he strives to capture that story in his work.

Chris is also an advocate for the conservation of the American buffalo. He believes that the buffalo is a vital part of the American ecosystem and that its preservation is essential for the health of the environment. Jennifer is a member of the Buffalo Field Campaign, a non-profit organization that works to protect and restore the American buffalo. He believes that we have a responsibility to protect the animals that share our planet, and her uses his art to raise awareness of the threats that these animals face.
