Isabelle Verté

I create abstract paintings that emerge from a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, nature, and emotion. My work is a personal translation of my inner world, influenced by elements such as landscapes, architecture, travel, and the vibrant colors I encounter along the way.

By working with mixed media – including acrylic paint, natural pigments, crackle powder, modeling paste, and sand – I build my paintings layer by layer. These materials not only add texture and depth to my work but also make emotion tangible and vivid. Subtle transitions, transparency, drippings, and organic forms create a dynamic interplay between stillness and movement, light and shadow, reflection and clarity.

My style – rooted in abstract expressionism – is both intuitive and technically refined. Each piece invites contemplation, yet radiates energy. What unites my body of work is a strong visual coherence and a distinct artistic voice that not only invites observation but also evokes emotion.

My work is characterized by a warm, emotional resonance and is meant to bring beauty and reflection into the viewer’s space. For me, art is not merely visual; it is a transmission of energy, color, and presence.
