Daphne Verheijke

Many different themes are the inspiration for my drawings and mixed media, these are often
figurative and abstract mixed together, the emotions and current affairs predominate here where my
paintings are mostly about colors,

Impressions, the paintings are suggestive, painting has many layers but the outcome is always unknown.

Within my paintings I want to be included in the space just as I am included in nature, that
everything does not matter for a moment, the feeling of freedom and space totally disappear in it.

Great painters such as Frank Bowling, Mark Bradford, Rotkho, Dumas are also a great source of
inspiration

I graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the direction of free graphics, painting and drawing

The last year of the academy, the 5th year we got a studio where painting was raised to a higher level by very good and personal guidance
