Adamo Macri is a Montreal-based contemporary artist who works in the fields of sculpture, photography, painting, video and drawing. His work intersects themes such as identity, contamination, the staging of nature, with a focus on documenting sculpture based on perceiving it as an occurrence rather than a static presence. This concept encompasses not only the objects created, but also his own physical being, by transforming himself as part of the canvas to depict the intended narrative. Collectively, the final pieces have the appearance of a carefully curated anthology of tales. Macri has been awarded The International Prize Leonardo Da Vinci and The Phoenix International Prize for The Arts. His work has been featured in the volumes of Contemporary Celebrity Masters publications. Notably, his artwork ‘Nevermore’ was selected for inclusion in the prestigious Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea Patron of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
