MY ART IS MY "MERAK"!

What is your “merak” (Serbian word meaning: perfect enjoyment of the simple things in life)? The things that bring us “merak” are sometimes the best definitions of our perfect selves. This elusive picture of what you always wanted to be, there, in plain site, just in front of your nose. “Merak” is frequently hidden behind our grand expectations that we are too lazy to achieve. Or maybe just too wise to waste time on them?

“Merak” is different for everyone – it is the original and authentic nature of ourselves. It is the moment when you feel connected to yourself and others, tuning to the feeling of eternity which never lasts long enough for you. My painting prolongue this perfect moment, perfect memory, perfect guilt.

I am an artist and architect, double PhD holder (University of Nis, Serbia and Université de Lyon, France), living, researching and painting between Serbia and France.
