Alessandro Sevà lives in Turin where he was born in 1981. As a young artist he graduated in 2000 the Cottini Art School and in 2005 he graduated from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, presenting a thesis on etching and engraving. In his production there are works that show different languages: among them stand out watercolor and mixed media. His personal research is rooted in the past, drawing on Renaissance themes, such as still life and vanitas, but distorting and revisiting these subjects in a contemporary key. His works are a journey through the sweet notes of watercolors and the darker ones of mythological, macabre, gothic and occult imagery. In delineating the physical traits, a precise attention to anatomical representation emerges and a psychology interpretation that reveals typically human weaknesses and passions. The constant analysis of nature is manifested through a wise use of color and a marked sensitivity in managing light. The punctuality with which the works are described reveals a Flemish inspiration embraced by expressionist notes. Alessandro graduated in 2000 at the Cottini Art School and in 2005 he graduated from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, presenting a thesis on ethcning and engraving.

In December 2003 he exhibited at the "Artenero Gallery";
in April 2009 he presents his personal exhibition called "The Bestiary";
in October 2009 he created a personal "Mai Solo Professioni";
in 2010-2011 he made the posters for the Cine-Teatro Baretti shows in Turin;
in December 2011 - January 2012 at the Mirafiori Motor Village he exhibited his paintings in a personal “La Locanda nel Bosco”, presenting about forty watercolors;
in 2013 he was awarded the Award for Best Italian Naturalist Draftsman by the magazine "Oasis Draws Nature" with the watercolor work the Lizard King;
in 2014 he won, with the collective TaleMadre, thanks to the animated short film "La Cucina dei Miracoli", the contest "River Eyes Turin"
