Alexandra Waks

I was born in Saint-Petersburg and spent my childhood in both art circles and attending art schools. After graduating from Freu Waldorschule private school in Germany I enrolled at the University of Culture and Art where I studied at the faculty of Media Design for a period of 5 five years. At the same time, I worked as a Graphic Designer and developed my passion for music production.

I am one of a few Russian artists who contributed a lot of my time to graffiti in the late 90’s and was certainly well known for both my unique style and underground alias. It’s safe to say that I am one of the best artists to come out of Russia with much of my work represented in various books and magazines. A fine example of this would be the 2004 publication ‘Graffiti World’ by Micholas Ganz.

Soon after, I started producing music and became well known for this. It’s true to say that I spent more time touring than staying at home which I am thankful for. Drawing sometimes took second place however, during the recent pandemic I picked up my brushes, paints and canvases to create unique pieces of artwork.
