Aleksandra Kostic D

Aleksandra Kostic D is an Australian South East European artist with a strong classical art education. She was born in Belgrade, Serbia (ex-Yugoslavia), in 1970 and has lived and worked in Australia since 2012. Aleksandra completed bachelor's and master's degrees in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Arts in Belgrade. She works across several mediums: installation, painting, drawing, video, and mixed media. She has exhibited her work regularly since 1994. Her works explore a range of ideas about women's emotional lives, anxiety, and mental health, as well as our relationship with sacred geometry in nature and our ways of knowing and perceiving the divine in the environment.
Her expressionistic approach to the work describes her as an intuitive artist willing to expose her creative energy directly.
