Alfonso Rocchi was born in Villa d'Ogna, a small village in the north of Italy, in June 1951.
Being particularly successful in scientific subjects allows him to get into the engineering University in Milan; however, after a couple of years, he soon turned his attention to art and photography.
Rocchi is a self-tought artist: his artworks are inspired by the old reinassance masters and the Flemish painters but at the same time he is engaged in a dialogue with contemporaneity.
The used technique is Oil on Board and every painting takes months or even years of work.
