Alison Aldrich

I always considered myself a watercolor artist until I started painting in oils with Ron Tomlinson in 2004.
I love the looseness of watercolor but felt restricted by it's slower process. As a very spontaneous painter I fell in love with oils because they allow one so much more freedom and immediacy.
I worked as a fashion illustrator for most of my career and began painting full time in 2016. My focus has been the people around me - who I paint from life and also all the creatures in my world.
