Alisa Cherkun Drukman

My name is Alisa, and I am an artist. I create energetic artworks in mixed styles (abstract, impressionism, realism), as I truly enjoy combining multiple styles in a single piece. During my university years, surrealism and nude art were predominant in my work. I am absolutely passionate about painting with oil on canvas, but sometimes, when I’m in a more romantic mood, I reach for watercolors or even colored pencils.

When painting portraits, I always start with the eyes—there is so much depth and emotion in human eyes… I can paint them endlessly and admire their beauty.

I love traveling in nature, walking through forests and mountains while listening to birdsong and the gentle murmur of a stream. I only start painting when I’m in a positive mindset because I believe I transfer my energy onto the artwork.

I’m interested in Feng Shui and often choose a harmonious color palette to create balance in my works.

I have been immersed in art for as long as I can remember. My artistic journey began with a strong foundation—studying at a general education school with an artistic focus while simultaneously attending an art school (Russia). Later, I pursued my passion at a pedagogical university specializing in design, further refining my skills in both traditional and digital mediums. In 2007, I entered the University of Haifa, Israel, in the Faculty of Arts, where I delved deeply into contemporary art and its diverse expressions. Alongside my fine arts education, I also explored graphic design, broadening my creative vision and mastering different forms of artistic communication.Eager to share my knowledge and passion, I pursued additional education and obtained a teaching license, allowing me to inspire and guide students in art and painting. I also completed my studies at a graphic design college, further expanding my artistic versatility.Today, my work is a blend of fine art, design, and emotional storytelling. I create pieces that capture energy, movement, and harmony—whether through impressionism, abstraction, or realism.
