Born in 1970 Alistair Tucker lives on the Wirral, UK.
Alistair's work is based upon the British landscape; its shape and form and the effects of the weather and light upon it. He describes the landscape as always changing depending upon the weather or the season. His art is a visual record of that experience whilst outdoors trying to preserve the frisson of the first encounter, to try and capture what the psalmist describes as the glossolalia of creation, hopefully without slavish verisimilitude.
He has a BA(hons) Degree in Fine Art, a Post Graduate Certificate in Art & Design Education and is currently Head of Art at The Queen's School in Chester.
He has exhibited across the UK including shows at The Castlegate House Gallery, Cockermouth; The Architects Gallery, London; The Lichfield Arts Festival; RWA Bristol; RBSA in Birmingham; Zillah Bell, Thirsk; The Grosvenor Museum in Chester, Limited Editions, Liverpool and The Granary Art Gallery, Weston Park.
