Alpa Palkhiwala

(b. 1975) Originally from Cambay, I've been living in Ahmedabad. The creativity in me to design things came naturally besides learning calligraphy and Bharatnatyam
as a kid reflected my artistic side. While working as a graphic designer for almost six years, I kept passionately making paintings on the side. After marriage, I delved into making artworks which were on the list for a long time. In 2006, I had my first solo show which gave a great start to my journey as
a visual artist. I met several amazing people and friends on the way and having insightful conversations with them gradually improved my visualisation. Further, to understand Indian history
better, I pursued to become a Bachelor of Arts in History and received the degree along with being a mother of one.
