I'm Amanda. I have been painting and creating my entire life. I live on the coast in South Texas with my husband and four children. Color is always a main component of my work. I enjoy creating work using strong color stories. Most of my art is fairly large scale. I feel that working large gives me freedom to move as I work. It is a very free, non-conforming feeling and that reflects in my art. My work is inspired by my surroundings and my inspiration and style changes often, according to where I am in life and what I have chosen to surround myself with. People, places, plants and flowers are constant inspiration, though. I enjoy not being labeled as a certain type of artist, as I enjoy a variety of mediums and subjects.
