Amanda Lee

I'm a London based artist and graphic designer. In recent years I've become more focused on exploring and practicing with oil paints. Working to expand my knowledge and understanding within my own practice. My work grows out of an active fascination with what I see around me. I constantly take photos and make notes, that inspire my paintings. The use of light and mood are important themes within my work. The emotions and imagery they evoke in me when I paint, I also attempt to capture within my poetry. Painting is a cathartic release, an escapist's route to a place of release.
