Andrei Semenov

As an artist, I don't like to talk about myself. Here I can only quote another people's words:

"Works of Andrei Semenov are such expressive that don't need a detailed analysis of art critics. The audience are amazed by blazing, almost gaudy color combinations and grotesque plots.
The characters of his works are people of the bottom layer of society, they are such narrow-minded and comic and that fact make viewers smile and even arouse sympathy, whether it be a drunkard or a prostitute, or even the Devil with the horns himself...Paintings of Andrei Semenov are very interesting. They impress both versed viewers and simper audience. They (pictures) are as attractive and wonderful as their author. This man (the artist) is absolutely free inside and ascetic in everyday life, his spiritual interests are always higher than material ones. Perhaps, just this detachment from the mundane bustle prevents his creativity from getting deserved fame. But I'am sure, it's a matter of time".
