A Maizianne

Originally from Belgium, I am a New York based figurative and abstract painter; I work essentially from pictures and/or life models. I explore abstraction in my textured backgrounds using mainly acrylics and mixed media. I paint usually half-portraits of people, figures in motion or blurry portraits as people leave prints or marks in one's lives. The abstract background leaves room for the viewer's imagination.
