Angela Antle

I'm an encaustic artist and radio producer living and working at the far eastern edge of North America

My current body of work is a comment on the cultural losses tied to environmental changes. I'm presently creating a suite of large wax paintings that depict a post-flooded and de-populated landscape.

-Studied fine arts at OCAD(Ontario College of Art & Design) 1996-1999.
-Attended OCADs Florence Studio Program in Italy 1997.
-20 years experience working at CBC Radio as a host, producer and reporter.
-Master of Arts (Journalism) University of Western Ontario Hugh Bremner Silver Medal Winner, 1991-1992.
-Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Memorial University of Newfoundland, 1986-1990.
-The inaugeral Lynn Donoghue Memorial Artist-in-Residence at Spadina Museum, Toronto, Sept. to Nov. 2005.
-Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters winner 2003,2005 & 2007.
-Artwork collected by the City of St. Johns and the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
