First encounter with drawing significantly shaped my life path towards revealing and exploring vast spaces of visual. Journey is made mostly through drawing and graphic techniques, photography and contemporary forms of art expression. Eventually, all lines of creation lead in the same direction, just have their unique ways and different vibrations of showing up in our lives...

Materials and technique
Through the years now, I mostly used graphite pencils (the whole range 3H to 8B) on paper, exploring what I can do differently with every new project. Of course, the other ways of expressing are present - like ink on paper, dry pastels, etc. - but graphite stayed with me the whole time. Kind of a first love thing maybe...

Same as the one’s handwriting can give insights into a persons' life behind the pen and paper, I feel working with graphite pencils allows the viewer to observe closely the internal undercurrents, enlightenments and fights of the artist himself. It focuses the attention solely to shapes and forms, texture and rhythm, while observer is not seduced or misguided by colour.
