Monica Bonzano, born in Italy, began her creative journey with a foundation in Art School and a Master's in Fashion Design. Her career initially took shape as an illustrator and later evolved into fashion design for several renowned companies. Early in her career, Monica displayed exceptional technical skills in drawing, cultivating a profound love for the line. Her artistic approach emphasizes pure, unshaded strokes, celebrating the expressive power of the sign itself. For over twenty years, Monica worked in the fashion industry, contributing to the creation of innovative clothing collections. However, her true passion lies in developing a personal artistic language, one that bridges the worlds of art and design. Her inspirations stem from fashion photography and its modern, decadent, and intimate atmospheres, often portraying female figures. Her "heroines" embody emotional states so intense that they distort conventional aesthetics, revealing a beauty that is unconventional, fragile, and deeply introspective. These thoughtful little creatures evoke a poetic vulnerability, inviting the viewer into their world of subtle emotions and quiet strength. This exploration of form and emotion extends to Monica's work in fine art, including her celebrated series "Flower in Bloom". This collection transforms stylized and abstract floral motifs into vibrant studies of color and texture, a reflection of her years in textile design. Each piece invites viewers to imagine its presence within their spaces, offering an elegant interplay of color, emotion, and visual impact.
