The works aim to create a space to just be and breathe, to feel life itself. Ūla Gečaitė a Lithuania based artist with a focus on minimalistic non-figurative colorfield art. With her sight, she attracts the surprising forms of nature until they lose their contours and only an emanation of light and color remains. She explores how light creates color and how color creates light. Working from color to light, she navigates from one to the other and gives herself the freedom not to give her painting any definitive status. The hand of the artist disappears through the surface immateriality only to bring a sensorial and meditative experience to the viewer. Through the slow process of layering painting, she explores the change of time, the space between imagination and reality. Using an abstract and laconic form, the artist depicts ephemeral natural phenomena - creating colored windows into zones of excitement and silence or weightlessness. .gecaite
