For much of my career, my art has existed in the periphery— embedded in blockbuster films that have shaped the visual landscape of our time. Although millions of people have seen my work, it often remained unnoticed, as my contributions were part of a larger cinematic experience. Today, my art moves to the forefront. After years of creating digital worlds that lived within the confines of film, my paintings now embrace the organic, the imperfect, and the deeply personal surroundings of my new home in Norway. Moving to here in 2008 was a turning point for me, a chance to rediscover my artistic voice outside the pressures of Hollywood. Inspired by the natural beauty of my new surroundings, my paintings strive evoke a sense of serenity and wonder, while still carrying the precision and attention to detail that were essential in my visual effects career. My work is a testament to my deep love for both the fantastic and the natural world. I strive to capture beauty through hard work, whether it be in a dramatic landscape or a delicate interplay of light and shadow. My journey has taken me from the studios of California to the fjords of Norway, but through it all, my passion remains the same: to create art that honours beauty and re-inspires love of nature and tradition, whether it is seen by millions or just a few.
