Who am I of African descent? Fallou Kandji was born into a family of artists in Africa, on the island of Gorée (Senegal) before settling in Girona (Spain). My art is communication, openness to others, love for Africa and the world, humanism, at a time when technological progress leaves few possibilities for humans. Having always considered painting and music as two inseparable modes of expression and a natural part of my life, I define myself as a poet of forms, colors, free from my techniques, striving to paint my sensations through my paintings. Contemporary art, outsider art, naive art, collage, recycling, acrylic, I explore different currents of thought and my creativity is expressed in a variety of works and techniques that respond to a well-defined artistic path that can be summarized in the art of recycling. My inspiration lies between two cultures and two civilizations. I am a citizen of the world. A committed artist.
