My name is Ayelet Hashahar Sela. I live and work in an agricultural town next to Mt. Tabor, Israel. I came to painting through a journey of personal development process. Before that, I worked in communications (MA). My painting is inspired by the anthroposophical approach to painting. I acquired the basis of my artistic knowledge in an anthroposophical seminar (at Harduf, Israel), where I became acquainted with a unique method of working with water colors, which fascinated me and provided a response to my search for the consciousness connection between color and form and the artist’s inner world. The one-year seminar evolved into Art Therapy studies (the anthroposophical method), where I delved into “painting by the seven life processes”. This model developed into the course “Painting as a Personal Growth Tool”, which involves development and empowerment of one’s personal abilities through painting exercises. I have been operating these workshops for the past 15 years. During the last decade, alongside the workshop, I have devoted a great deal of my time to oil painting. My first exhibition “Ad Infinitum” was shown at Beit Gabriel gallery on the Sea of Galilee in March 2013. In December 2017, I participated in a group exhibition of artists inspired by the anthroposophical approach at Tal Gallery in Kfar Vradim, Israel. Since 2016, I have been captivated by a new artistic project, “GLOWING”, in which I explore the magical sights revealed to me through a kaleidoscope. The new creative process is inspired by spiritual Kabala knowledge, which makes me ponder and wonder about the connection between the whole and its parts, the random and the necessary, the contemporary and the eternal.
