I am currently living in Aberystwyth, Wales and working on an MA in painting whilst holding down various jobs. My paintings are based on memories of being immersed in landscape. Rather than trying to replicate a setting, I aim to convey some of the joy of being in a landscape and the euphoria or rush of someone enjoying and revelling in nature. My pursuit of outdoor activities, such as wild swimming, also influences my painting as most of my landscapes are based on my experiences around the west coast of Wales. Joy, which is stimulated by a beautiful environment, is particularly demonstrated through my use of colour.
