My new series Cut Flowers is a dating story. A meeting between a concrete flower and its abstract half. The two elements are made separately, in watercolor most often (but not only). Isabelle Joubert, visual artist based in France (Savoie), draws her inspiration from the deep interconnection between nature and her place as a woman in this world. Through a work that mixes paintings, embroidery, drawings and collages, she sensitively explores the elements of the natural world, exalting their beauty while emphasizing the importance of living in harmony with the latter. Her works, delicate and poetic, are part of an eco-responsible approach, valuing recovered materials in the perspective of "zero waste." Isabelle is particularly fond of watercolour for its fluidity, as well as cotton thread and linen, which she uses in her embroidery to infuse a tactile dimension to her creations. She also reuses small drops of paper, transformed into poetic forms, and gives them a second life. Attentive to the purity of colors, Isabelle studies her palettes from natural colors observed in nature, in her garden or even in her kitchen. Through her creations, Isabelle Joubert invites a sensitive dialogue with nature, a celebration of its fragility and strength, while cultivating a reflection on the way we inhabit the world.
