MiBe studied at Tel-Aviv School of Design. He worked on several public art installations. He moved to Canada 20 years ago. His series of abstract mixed media paintings expresses the complexity of emotions which we all keep within us. MiBe's favorite artist is Jean-Michel Basquiat, and his recent works filled with the figurative environment. As with our modern lifestyles there is movement across the canvas in various areas simultaneously yet a unity created between the areas through the shared color scheme, recurring shapes and similar brush strokes. The paintings portray the way one's soul is not limited to a single love, occupation, distraction or interest but how as complex beings we can be dynamic in many areas simultaneously, unique in themselves yet united in one person's soul. The paintings have areas of precise, geometric shapes representing our cerebral, logical thoughts and areas where brush strokes have a free movement showing our soul's limitless imagination, creativity and liberation. We are simultaneously free and bound, logical and emotional as well as spontaneous and planned. The soul's passion can also be interpreted in this series' color scheme with dramatic reds, black and orange but white has been used to highlight the painting which leaves us with the overall impression of hope and life. White is also the underlying spirituality which prevails though out our lives whether we are aware of it or not.
