Venya Son (Veniamin Sonin) is an independent artist from Ukraine, currently based in Barcelona. He moved there in 2014 after graduating from the National Technical University of Ukraine with a degree in Fine Arts and later earned a Master’s degree in Illustration and Motion Design from Spain’s BAU University of Arts & Design. Venya’s exploration into art began with graffiti and has since expanded into large-scale canvas work, gallery exhibitions, tattooing, commercial projects, street art, illustrations, print & fashion design, as well as projects for the music industry. He continues to explore these areas today, with a particular focus on acrylics and airbrushing. In 2020, Venya opened an online shop and began working full-time as a freelance artist with clients all over the world. He currently works from his art studio overlooking Barcelona.
