Dany was born and raised in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. According to her family she started drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil. By the time she was seven years old, she had five solo exhibitions in Plovdiv. As a shy child growing up she had a hard time making friends, so instead she drew her way into adventures of her own creation. Fairy tales from around the world served as her inspiration. Today Dany's work embraces her European heritage and soulful appreciation of fairy tales to depict fantastical and surreal worlds. She moved to the United States and went on to graduate from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA, with a BFA in Illustration. She regularly exhibits her work in group gallery shows and art fairs. Dany resides in sunny Los Angeles with her family.
