"Centauride" is an allegory that represents female strength and creativity. Ceramic sculpture mounted on wood base. I was born in 1970 in La Plata, Argentina. Actually I live in Olavarría, Buenos Aires. I belevied that through the images the artist can communicate to others his inner world and his vision of reality, using a subjective and poetic language but at the same time universal. Focused on expressionism and the dynamic interrelationship of forms with space, the purpose of my sculptures is to connect the viewer with myth, magic and therianthropy. I live near a hill of clay soil and I feel that the modeling of the clay awakens my ancient memory, ancestral and telluric. The human figure, animals and mythology capture my attention and through these allegories I try to unravel the mystery of life. I cook my works with direct fire, just as the Aborigines of my country did, in a wood-fired oven. It is wonderful to witness the alchemy that occurs at the time of cooking when the 4 elements (air, earth, water and fire) are fused to become ceramic.
