My paper wall sculpture projects are mainly influenced by modern architecture and more broadly by the city, its structural organization, its visual rhythm and finally, its inhabitants. I study shape, line and the interaction of light with surfaces. It's a play of light and shadow. Architecture also influences my choice of medium, as I often tend to use structural materials such as metal and concrete. Childhood is also a recurring influence in my work. Toys and playgrounds influence the overall tone of my projects, in its shapes, colors, and overall structure. I also often like to give my work a playful aspect by adding an illusion of movement and tension as if everything has a fragile balance. My work is organized into collections, where each piece is conceived as a stand-alone structure as well as part of a larger aesthetic family, adhering to predefined rules and sharing common attributes. In my research, I try to synthesize concepts to create a kind of visual writing that can be developed into sculptures, films, prints, and installations. I work on both real and digital media, each practice influencing the other. With a background in digital design, I often produce sharp, precise, geometric shapes related to the design of manufactured products. In addition, I often tend to reproduce real materials as well as physical constraints when working on digital projects.
