Nathaniel Price

Nathaniel Price, an artist who creates found mixed media collaged abstractions in multiple mediums, sometimes refers to his artwork as a battlefield. He thinks of himself as a lost bird whose feathers don't match the feathers of the other birds where he has landed. Raised by a white mother and a black father, he is not quite sure what it means when people ask him for directions in Spanish or marvel at his olive skin and bright smile. His art seems to revolve, in various ways, around this idea of displacement, of where and what is home. Nathaniel received his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and his works have been displayed at the Dublin Art Council, The Ohio Art League and other galleries in Ohio. Now living in Jacksonville, Florida Nathaniel works from his studio at home. Currently a few of his artworks are part of the Highway Gallery which you can see at The Florida Mining Gallery and on digital billboards around the city.
