Peter Georgopoulos

My name is Peter (Pierre) Georgopoulos, I’m an artist, graphic designer, illustrator, writer and photographer. I’m what you’d call a visual thinker. A slipping Glimpser A multi-dimensional artist. Always curious. I work in a diverse range of subjects and media. My goal is to create evocative memorable imagery through the use of playful organic forms. I like to "take the line for a dance". Serendipity is an important element of my work. This gives my images a quirky childlike character.

I fell in love with painting as a child. My love blossomed in High School where I finished in the top students in Australia. I was one of the first students to enrol at the then new, Canberra College of Art, studying Certificate of Painting. I also have a great interest in the Applied Arts and have a Diploma of Graphic Design from the Canberra Institute of Technology. Studying both the fine arts and applied arts has given me solid foundations to build on.
